10 on Tuesday

I'm such a slacker... but here ya go!

1) Elijah lost his first tooth.  Can't tell?  That's because he has a full sized tooth behind where the other tooth was.  He's like a little shark.  The tooth was so insanely small.  I mean SO small.  The one next to it is loose as well.  He was so freaked out by this tooth.  He barely let us touch it.  Last night it was hanging by a root.  He wanted it to fall out in it's own.  So this morning while eating oatmeal, it came out (cause oatmeal is known for it's hardness and ability to remove loose teeth!)  The tooth fairy is circling the house, I am sure....

2) My friend and photographer Nichole, did mini sessions with live chicks.  These are the files we chose.  Grace would have stayed there all day playing with the chickens.  Elijah was fine with them, but if they looked at him wrong... he was done.  Nichole is great!  Check out her site (you might see someone you know on it!)

3) It has be super warm thus far in March.  Which I love!  The kids love to play in water and  outside.  Alas, the &$#%&*^#( pollen.  you can see it the most in the bottom picture. It's SO gross.  But what are you going to do?  Dope up on Clairtin and hope it's over soon!

4) We all went on a mini vacay to Myrtle Beach.  The kids had a blast.  So did we.  I'll do another post (eventually)about it.

5) Elijah is really taking off with the reading.  He suddenly has taken this leap forward.  He's REALLY getting the sounding out words.  They encourage writing phonetically so his writing lacks some vowels, but he's doing it on his own. It's the coolest thing!

6) Grace.  She is a little spit fire.  She has a great energy and talks all.the.time.  She laughs easily, though can cry at the drop of a hat as well.  She's a lot like her mom.

7) Spring Break is next week.  My folks are coming down and staying out at the beach... and the kids?  The kids are going to go stay with Oma and Opa!!!  Jerry and I are going to build a deck... no really we are.  Stop laughing.  it will be level-ish and everything!

8) I am doing a mudrun here in a couple of weeks.  I think that I am fairly ready.  My friend and I are running together... well several friends are running on the same wave, but my friend and I will stick together.  The running I'm not too worried about, but I am a little worried about the obstacles.  It will be fun though!  AND I THINK I am signing up for a Glow Run as well.  How fun would that be???

9) Last Saturday Jerry and I went to a fundraiser for Elijah's school.  It was fun to get dressed up and go out on the town.  We didn't stay too long, but it was nice.  We have decided that we should make ourselves go out for a dress up date more often.  I agree, but I also think it's nice to just slide into comfy jeans and go watch a movie without having to get up with kids 87034857 times to go to the bathroom.  Nevertheless... it was nice.

10) On the note of Elijah's school. We LOVE it there.  I'm SO happy he got in.  I'm SO happy that Grace will go there.  I'm SO happy that we don't have to worry about middle school.  They have such a great philosophy and they really nurture the kids and encourage kindness.  They do so many cool things.  I just LOVE it.  That is all.

So there.  10 on Tuesday.  Now I must go stuff so more eggs for some Easter Egg Hunts that are happening tomorrow.
