October 2012

Grace had fun at dance last year, but this year she is really getting the hang of things.

I love my girl's style.  And I love that the Dance CoOp allows her to dress however she feels comfortable.

Oma and Opa came to visit so that Jerry and I could go to a wedding.  But before we left, Elijah had a field trip...

While Jerry and I went to the wedding, Oma and Opa held down the fort with the munchkins.

And Jerry and I got a couple of nights away to help our good friends Leah and Tommy celebrate their wedding.

After the wedding we came back and then headed out the next day to Bald Head Island.

Gracie went on another field trip.  This time to the grocery store...

Oh right, and it is still soccer season....

Elijah enjoyed playing goalie this year.  He even got a little upset that others had the nerve to want to try as well.  heh

Elijah also had his first inquiry project of the year.  This one was on outer space.  Elijah chose the sun.

And then Elijah had his fall festival.  I only got a few pics of the inside singing as I painted faces last for the festival.

AND then there are the Halloween festivities.  We started out at the library.  They had a haunted library with   mazes and stories and dancers... the tell tale heart was one of the stories that was acted out... kinda wish we hadn't done that one.  alas.  live and learn.  the rest was really cool.  We went with the Anderson kids.  Super fun!!
Puss and Boots, Batgirl, butterfly princess, and little princess

Gracie had a playdate one evening and I took Elijah to a festival at a local park.  It was fine, but new and a little unorganized.  And I forced my child into a costume contest because I'm mean insanely proud of the fact I freakin' came up with a Puus and Boots costume.  I mean I made boots out of duct tape for crying out loud.

For Halloween night we went to the Anderson's for Trick or Treating.  The Kimbro's joined us as well and off we went to Trick or Treat through the neighborhood.  I think that Elijah felt a little 1)tired and 2) left out from the girls... but it was fun!

oh yeah... I made a freakin' sword out of duct tape as well.

and of course, we had to check out the goods.

As it was a school night, I limited the candy intake to 2 pieces and then we were off to home and bed.  It was a very fun time.
October was also busy and fun... and obviously, I took many more pictures!
