The day after we got home, the kids started camp. Elijah went to soccer camp held by the local pro soccer team, The Hammerheads. They were outside for the four days the camp was held from 9-3, but they stopped for lots of water breaks and more importantly, they had a BLAST! We did mess up a bit though. We misunderstood that the awards day was on a different day than advertised and missed him playing the Hammerheads and getting his award. I think he was really hurt. Had I known, I, OF COURSE, would have been there. I felt like a total jerk and still do. He had a blast though and already wants to go again next summer. Grace went to a gymnastics camp in the mornings. That week was WONDERFUL!!! I loved hanging with the kids on vacation, but it was really nice to have some alone time. Grace did fine in the camp. She whined every morning, but once I left she was fine. Elijah went with her on the last day since his camp was only 4 days. I felt like this was good practice for Grace since she will be going to preschool this year. Anyway, I didn’t get too many pics. I did get some on actual film, but haven’t gotten it developed yet. I love that he wore his head band. He was so incredibly sweaty each day, I’m sure it actually helped keep the sweat out of his eyes.
The weekend after we got back our friends Leah and Tommy came to visit. They arrived to find the kids in the pool, and joined in on the fun. That weekend Elijah and Grace had hair cut (Grace’s first hair cut). Then we ended up at the beach in the afternoon.
We haven’t had a ton of rain since we got back, but one afternoon we did have a deluge. And what do you do when it pours? You jump in puddles!
And what does one do with two children that are crazy wild, but it’s 89097304985708 degrees outside? You take them to open gym and let them bounce, run, and kick it all out. The picture with the blur… that’s Elijah…not a ghost.
OR you pull a MAJOR faux pas, and run your sprinkler on in the middle of the day.
So now we are caught up on July. Now to just take pictures off my camera from August and to catch up on all the craziness that August consists of…
