Happy Thanksgiving!!

We are very fortunate to have a GRAND family!  Things lately have been tough for the Jones', but we have our health and our happiness, and really, that's what's important.
Yesterday, we left for Thanksgiving vacation (along with 98374798 other people) to come visit my Aunt Marj and Uncle David.  We had planned on coming today wince Jerry had to work yesterday, but became convinced by Oma and Opa to come a day early so there would be more visiting time.  So we complied, pulling into the hotel around 8:30.  The kids were wired from being in the car for 5 long hours, so we threw them into their bathing suits and hit the pool.  The pool, apparently, has a broken heater.... so the water was, um, FREEZING!!!  But we made do switching from hot tub to cold pool.  It was good fun and we brought the kids up threw them into PJs and into bed.  They sacked out and slept soundly...UNTIL this morning when our next door neighbor apparently abides by the cry it out philosophy.  I'm all for whatever child rearing style you want, but seriously, an hour and a half of baby screaming, is NOT okay with me at 5 FREAKING 30 in the morning... I THINK that they gave the baby their keys to play with, because an alarm went off in the parking lot, but whatever... sigh.  So we rolled out of bed at 7 after giving up the search for quietness and we took the kids for breakfast, called the parental units, and let the kiddos play on the playground until my folks came to get them. And then....silence.  My folks took the kids for the whole day!!  It was SOOOO nice. I went  to the gym, we watched movies that had bad words in them, and I took a nap!  And we went out to lunch without having to cram food down our throats and answer 870234857 questions.  AHHHHH!
We went to get the kiddos and have dinner and some pleasant talk.  While there Jerry and I got permission to open our Christmas gift early!  My folks got us each a Nook!!!!  SOOO excited to try it out!
Tomorrow we will do actual Thanksgiving.  So while all the crazies are out shopping, we will be eating good food and visiting with family.  On Saturday we will hug and kiss everyone good bye and head to the Jones' Senior house for Thanksgiving round 2.  All in all, not to shabby.  Lots to be thankful for and happy about!
I hope that everyone else celebrated as much!
