My folks pulled in Monday afternoon much to the delight of the kiddos (and admittedly myself!!) I love that having them here means a little break for me. Since our yard had been mowed the day before it was nice to not have to worry about that. So we played that afternoon.
On Tuesday we decided to get out to play in between rain bans of a tropical something off the coast. Then after Ollies (coffee shop), lunch, and nap, Oma took the kiddos out to stomp in the rain.
Wednesday was another possibility of rain. So we hung out around the house playing and went on some walks around the neighborhood.
Thursday I dropped the kids and my folks at the beach and then went to check out a preschool for Elijah for next year. I really liked the preschool, but it is really pricey. That's a blog for another day though.
Elijah decided that Opa was a puppy and therefore treated him as a good owner should...
Meanwhile Gracie got her fair share of attention from both grandparents as well:
Friday I was lucky enough to get to go out to dinner and a movie with Jerry. It was really nice to go out with just us. That morning we had soccer class.
On Saturday Jerry and I ran some errands in the morning and then went to a farewell party for a friend of his in the afternoon/evening time. While we were gone the kids made cookies and made a new animal friend:
Sunday we took my folks out for breakfast and came home and cleaned the garage! It looks amazing and I'm glad to finally have it done. Jerry went in to work during nap time. After nap we headed out to the park at the beach and then (once the parking was free) to the beach itself.
This morning the kids and I met Oma and Opa at Ollies once again for good byes. At least Oma will be back for a weekend in October (Opa should come too!!!!) to do a fall festival with me here. Then we will be in the mountains for Thanksgiving at which time Jerry will leave us there for a couple weeks. So we hope to get some more Oma and Opa time soon! We miss them a lot when they leave and appreciate everything they do while they are here!!!

Sounds like a fun visit, and those are some really great pictures!
I bet you enjoyed family time as well as the kids!!! Seems like you guys did a lot in ONE WEEK, which is AWESOME!!!!
I still can't get over Grace kissing the turtle. Too cute. I don't even think I would of gotten that close to that turtle. :)
It looks like it was a wonderful visit! Grandparents are the best.
