Final post - The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
There is much to write and much to catch up one. I would say that I have been busy, and that's somewhat true. But I've been lazy and have been contemplating a move to a new blog... and that's what I'm gonna do. I'm in the process of moving all my older entries over to blogger. I will post the new link when I'm finished and I publish the blog. There are just too many things that I don't like here... and I'm sorta ready to let go of my hotmail account as well.
ANYWAY. Let's rewind a couple weeks. We were in the mountains. Grace kept getting sick and then feeling better and then getting sick. After a few weeks of this I finally took her to the doctor. They suggested that we run an allergy test on her as a starting point. So that's what we did. The test came back that she has a class three allergy to eggs (the class is 1-3, 3 being the highest) a class 2 allergy to wheat and dairy and a class 1 allergy to peanuts. The doc was most concerned about the eggs. So we eliminated the eggs from her diet. In a little over a week she gained .8 pounds and her skin cleared up a lot. So we limit her dairy and wheat intake and have eliminated the eggs. That's the good news. The bad news is her iron dipped lower. Sigh. We already give her vitamin with iron and she eats tons of foods that are high in iron (sans eggs) but nevertheless it has dipped. They just want her back for a finger prick in 3 months. Sigh. Her stats are 20.8 pounds (25%) 30 inches long (25-50%) and her head is in the 50-75%. All around healthy. She was really good with her shots and Elijah gave her little pats. She has been weaned since the beginning of the month.... but that's another post. she also has cut two of her molars which was a surprise to me since she hasn't even gotten her four bottom teeth yet! She never lets us look in her mouth (though she loves getting her teeth brushed) so we had no clue! poor little bit, teething and we thought it was for the little front bottom teeth trying to come in!
Let rewind again for a minute. When we came back from the mountains we hung out with a friend at a park and Elijah was having fun jumping from a platform onto me. That's all well and good, until he jumped before I was ready and his head came smashing into my face. It hurt. Bad. sigh. Fast forward to last week. My tooth started hurting. Not too bad. Just a little throbbing. I thought, great, I'm going to have to get it canalled again (already had a root canal twice on this tooth.) So I got an appointment for today. So Jerry took half a day and I went in. Sigh. SO I went in. I got an x-ray and it turns out that it's a BREAK. the inside of my tooth is broken. It is below the bone, so it has to be removed and bridge has to be inserted. Sigh. It's going to cost a ton of money and the whole thing just sucks. Sigh. I just can't think about it too much. It really stresses me out. I hate getting a cavity filled, I don't really like my cleanings, this is not going to be my idea of a fun day by any means. Not to mention the time Jerry will have to take off of work. But we'll make it work and then hopefully (knock on a whole forest of wood) we will be done with the teeth issues for a while.
So this is it. I guess it's the actually the next to the last post. I'll post my new site once I publish it.
